SilvaSorb® Cavity Strands Dressing
The SilvaSorb Cavity Dressings help treat deep and/or tunneling wounds. The dressings are composed of 20% water to help moisturize dry wounds without wearing out the surrounding skin. SilvaSorb utilizes ionic silver to form an antimicrobial barrier against harmful fungi and bacteria without damaging tissue cells. The dressing last up to one week on the skin.
- The SilvaSorb cavity dressings help cavity wounds with any amount of drainage. Effective on wounds such as: leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical wounds, graft wounds, 1st and 2nd degree burns, lacerations and abrasions, and skin tears
- The cavity dressings are sold individually
- The SilvaSorb dressing provides an anitimicrobial barrier against bacteria and fungi, including the MRSA and VRE viruses
- The SilvaSorb cavity dressing is 20% water allowing it to provide moisture when needed
- Able to absorb 5 times its weight in fluid
- Dressing may be left in place for up to 7 days
- SilvaSorb employs ionic silver, releasing silver at controlled rate, to maintain a broad spectrum of antimicrobial action without harming the tissue cells
